This app helps tamariki to practice and consolidate their knowledge in Math. Are you kaupae 4, 5 (stage 4 or 5) for pāngarau? Te Aka Matua app helps tamariki (children) to practice and consolidate their knowledge and skills at this level.in three Pāngarau curriculum areas. Play games from different parts of the motu (island). Complete 3 levels of Meka Matua (Basic Facts), Uara Tū (Place Value) and Tauira me te Pānga (Patterns and Relationships).

This app has been updated by Apple to prepare for watchOS 27 compatibility. No new features are included. We have added two new games - The first game is called Te Whare Hākinakina (sports ground) where you have a couple of backgrounds to choose from (rugby field or Netball court). This game will teach you about sequencing up to 100,000. Our second game is Te Pāmu (forest) Where some of New Zealand's native birds are flying around. In this game you will learn skip counting, repeat addition, multiplication and division. We also have added additional difficulty levels to our existing game to challenge you more. The other major change we have made is introducing multi player functionality, this will allow you to play the same game against another player. You won't know who it is but your competitive side will come out and your want to win.
