Welcome to the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, part of Sam Houston State University, located on the historic homestead of Sam and Margaret Houston. This tour app will assist you as you tour the Museum, the historic homes, visit our conference hall and education building, and enjoy the scenery of our beautiful grounds. Spread across more than fifteen acres of the original Houston farm, the Museum delights visitors year round. Plan to watch our introductory movie on Sam Houston, tour the collections in our main Rotunda building, glimpse inside the historic homes which include the Woodland Home, a National Historic Landmark. Stop by the Wigwam Neosho, our museum store, to pick up a souvenir or two! Purchase a bag of birdseed and enjoy spending some quiet time at Lake Oolooteka, feeding our wildlife that calls this home.
