About this app
Layer was developed by architects for the AECO industry and can be connected to a Revit model to bridge the gap between real-world building data and BIM. App Features: — Contextually organize detailed project information like materials, photos, surveys, measurements, notes, and tasks into a single library, streamlining workflow and reducing time-consuming redundancies and costly inaccuracies. — Customize a wide range of data fields to capture every aspect of a building or project, which can then be instantly accessed both in the field and at the desk. — Connect Layer to Revit to view, edit, and sync real-time data directly to a building model, giving the entire team — from architect to owner — instant access to absolutely everything.

What’s New
**Organize Your Team with Company User Tags** Company owners and admins can now tag members by trade, office, crew, role, or anything else that fits how your company works. Tags are managed in a new Manage Company → User Tags tab, grouped into categories you define, assigned from a user's detail page, shown as chips on user rows, and used to filter the company user list. **Person Fields Can Offer the Right People Only** A Person field can now be limited by user tag, so the picker offers a relevant subset of the project team instead of everyone. Restrict a field to specific tags or groups, or to people who share the viewer's own tags. **Control What Public Form Fillers Can See** Two new per-block settings in the form editor, "Let Users Filter" and "Let Users Show Extra Fields", control whether someone filling out a public form can filter the related element picker or add columns from the related category. Both stay on by default. **Projects Reopen Where You Left Off** Opening a project from the Project Browser now returns you to the category and view you last worked in. **Bug Fixes** - Fixed creating a template, creating a project from a template, and applying a template failing when the same static image was used in the document views of more than one category. - Fixed a select field losing all of its options, and the matching value being removed from every element that had it selected, when the field was updated through the API, the MCP server, or a batch action without resending the option list. - Fixed element notes printing in the wrong order in document view PDFs and spreadsheet reports. Exports now use the same newest first order the app shows. - Fixed View Settings discarding changes to Table Columns and Gallery Card Fields, which could also overwrite the visible fields already saved on the view. **Improvements** - The Layer iOS app now requires iOS 15 or later.
