Set Tour is an interactive augmented reality experience which immerses you into movie sets where members of the production team describe their work. This app is developed by the visualization powerhouse, THE THIRD FLOOR, whose work includes blockbusters from Marvel, Disney and Lucasfilm among many others, in collaboration with American Cinematographer, the journal of the American Society of Cinematographers. Celebrating nearly a century in operation, AC is one of the best known and most respected industry publications, with a focus on the technical and artistic aspects of image making. We’ve partnered to launch one of many explorations on set from the world’s most cinematic feature films. In this premiere edition, you’ll travel to the set of Disney’s live-action musical, Beauty and the Beast to experience the creation of the “Be Our Guest” sequence. Toggle between commentary from cinematographer Tobias Schliessler, ASC, theatrical lighting designers Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer and Virtual Production Supervisor for THE THIRD FLOOR Casey Schatz.
