Lebanor was originally founded in 1997 as GSR, Gold Smelting and Refining, was based in Bourj Hammud area, a suburb of Beirut, and mainly working on refining gold and other precious metals from industrial scrap, jewelry scrap, and non-standard and/or alloy bars... Innovations in numerous chemical and electro-mechanical techniques, owned GSR success and growth in this field. High precision in refining and assaying had reached international standards. Several workshop locations were opened in Lebanon to better serve the expanding business. Main office and plant were relocated to the industrial city in Baouchrieh, eastern suburb of Beirut. Overseas partners joined the business, a Cyprus location was officially added. Lebanor sal is today one of the leading companies in this industry in Lebanon. It is accredited by the Lebanese ministry of industry and registered as member of the Lebanese chamber of commerce and industry. In 2012, Lebanor sal received ISO 9001 Certification. As a pioneer in this field in Lebanon, Lebanor has equipped a specialized casting plant with the most advanced equipment and staff and started providing for local and international market a wide range of gold and silver bars, packaged in a variety of package designs and shapes ranging from 0.25 to 1000g, in order to accommodate most of modern day consumer investment market needs, as well to continue providing for jewelry manufacturing sector.
