About this app
Understanding the history of the United States begins with knowing America’s presidents. Learning their names, their sequence and their portraits provides a clear foundation for interpreting major events, political developments and historical shifts. This app offers a structured learning system designed to support long-term retention instead of short-term quiz memorization. At the core is an adaptive spaced repetition system that adjusts review intervals according to your real memory performance. If you recall a president after a longer interval than expected, the next interval increases. If you hesitate or answer incorrectly, the interval shortens without resetting your progress. This ensures that your study time focuses exactly on the items that require reinforcement. Two complementary learning modes are included. Multiple Choice provides fast rounds with immediate feedback, ideal for building recognition early. Self-Assessment strengthens active recall: you try to retrieve the answer yourself before rating whether you knew it, almost knew it or did not know it. This process is highly effective for long-term memory formation. All U.S. presidents are grouped in a single category. Several question directions are available, such as Portrait → Name and Name → Portrait. You can freely adjust question types and switch configurations at any time without losing progress. A dedicated test presents each president once and awards a silver or gold medal depending on performance. Tests can be repeated as often as needed to track improvement clearly. A complete card browser is also included, allowing you to review all presidents independently of learning sessions.
