“Waseda Campus Tour Audio Guide Application” is an official mobile application by Waseda University. At Waseda University, we have conducted tour guides around the campus led by the current students at the time. This application was developed with the aim to assist our in-person tours given by our student tour guides. This application was created with the collaborative effort between one of our official student organizations, Waseda Society of Geography, and the student tour guides. Waseda Society of Geography mapped out the original idea and the tour routes for this application, and our current student guides recorded how the actual tours would be conducted, introducing tour spots and landmarks around the campus. This joint effort between the student organizations was carried out based on one of the core strategies in the school’s long-term project, “WASEDA VISION 150”, which is to “promote active student participation in the school’s education and research” by “creating student-planned systems and jobs with innovative ideas that are not bound by conventional customs and ideas”. This application will guide you around the campus by detecting your location when you are in the vicinity of a tour spot. (THD Inc. is in charge of the development of this application.) At this time, this application only includes the audio guide for the Waseda Campus. We would very much appreciate it if you would give it a listen to our audio tour during your visit to the campus. For safe use: ・When using the application, always pay close attention to your surroundings. Do not enter places that seem to pose any danger. ・This application requires precise location services. Make sure to use in places with stable internet connection. Your device may be slow to respond in places where precise GPS information becomes difficult to detect. ・We recommend the use of iPhone 7 or more recent models as this application requires location services with high accuracy. Use on iPad requires cellular model equipped with GPS. ・ Please note that by posting on social media platforms during your use of this application, you may be disclosing your personal information, including your current location. ・This application is provided by THD Inc.
