The official app of WXYC, North Carolina's essential freeform radio station. Listen to our livestream on-the-go, see recently played songs, and share your favorites with the special people in your life. This app is developed by current and former WXYC DJs on a volunteer basis. Your kind-hearted feedback and contributions are welcome.

A refreshed playlist — The playlist tab now leads with an on-air banner showing who's currently on the air; tap it to open the DJ's controls. Each track is stamped with the time it played, and album artwork loads as soon as you open the app instead of waiting for you to scroll. On Tour — A new tab for discovering upcoming Triangle-area concerts by the artists WXYC plays. Browse a poster-first list grouped by month, filter by date, venue, and genre, and open a detail view with a venue map, an artist bio, and a ticket link. Share any show as a link or add it straight to your calendar. A "Heard on WXYC" shelf highlights shows by artists in the station's rotation, and a Box Office ticket appears in the playlist when an artist you're hearing has a show coming up. Spotlight & Siri — Search WXYC concerts, venues, artists, and now-playing tracks right from Spotlight, ask Siri about tours near you, and add a show to your calendar by voice. Liked Songs — Tap the heart on any track to save it. Your new Liked tab keeps everything you've liked, on your device. More reliable streaming — The audio engine has been overhauled for far fewer dropouts: the stream now reconnects when it stalls, recovers from silent buffering, and handles switching between headphones, CarPlay, and Bluetooth more gracefully.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
