About this app
GSK Home2Test is an application developed as part of clinical trial acceleration project. The aim is to reduce the time between the collection of the Human Biological Samples at the investigation site and the clinical lab data availability to the GSK data management. The goal of Home2Test is to help study participant collect and scan self-collected samples at home without going back to the site, by: 1. Scan Kit QR code from participant’s home. 2. Submit the scanning date and time information to Site2Test database. GSK Home2Test is an application that is installed to the participant’s device. Once the self-collected sample(s) is(are) physically collected, the participant must scan the Kit QR code in the GSK Home2Test application. GSK Home2Test application functions in either online mode or offline mode. So, if the participant’s device is connected to the internet, the scanning date(s) and time(s) will be submitted to the clinical study site. However, if the participant’s device is not connected to the internet i.e. in offline mode, the data will only be saved on the participant’s device until it will be connected again to the internet connection, then the saved data are submitted to the clinical study site.
