About this app

CineLog: Pre-Production for Filmmakers The all-in-one workspace for directors, DPs, and producers to plan films with clarity and speed. CineLog combines script editing, breakdowns, scheduling, shot listing, storyboarding, and call sheets in one simple platform, on your desktop, your phone, and in the browser, so you can spend less time organizing and more time creating. Call Sheets Turn your prep work into production-ready documents. CineLog aggregates your schedule, locations, cast, and crew into industry-standard call sheets. Set a crew call time and watch the schedule engine cascade precise start times for every scene and break. Locations are saved per project, with address, parking, and nearest hospital. Export pixel-perfect PDFs with your company logo, or send tracked email blasts so your team can confirm receipt directly from their inbox. Schedule Plan your shoot on a classic stripboard. Build shooting days, drag scene strips between them, and split a scene across days. Cast and locations sit right on the strips, a finished day flows straight into its call sheet, and the whole board exports as a PDF. Smart Shot Listing Design every shot with precision. Add lenses, camera moves, gear notes, and scene references with a clean, intuitive interface. Whether you are building a commercial, music video, or narrative film, CineLog makes it easy to plan visually and stay production ready. Cast & Crew Build your roster before you even know who you are hiring. Add roles and departments to create vacant slots, then assign contacts as your team comes together. Create custom roles to match how your workspace really runs. Organize with a visual Kanban board or browse a simple contacts rolodex. Control exactly who can access your project with granular, role-based permissions and one-tap invitations. Focus Mode Work scene by scene without the clutter of your entire shot list. Focus Mode lets you isolate one or more scenes at a time, making it easier to plan details and stay clear on your creative vision. Storyboard Integration Attach images, sketches, or reference frames directly to each shot. Rearrange shots with drag and drop simplicity and keep your boards and lists linked in one place. Your visual plan stays flexible, fluid, and easy to share. Script Breakdown Mark up your script the way you would with colored pencils on paper. Tag props, wardrobe, vehicles, and any of the twelve standard categories, and CineLog picks up speaking characters on its own. Tagged cast flows into your shot list, your schedule, and your call sheets, and breakdown sheets export as PDF. Script Editor Write on real script pages. The editor shows true US Letter pages with industry-standard margins, and the page break you see is the page break in your exported PDF. CineLog recognizes scene headings and character names and can parse a shot list straight from the script. Import a Fountain or Final Draft file and review every change before it lands. And when you move into production, lock your script: locked pages keep their numbers, new material goes to A-pages, revised lines get stars, and every revision round gets its own page color. Export and Production Ready Generate clean, professional scripts, breakdown sheets, schedules, shot lists, storyboards, and call sheets ready for set. CineLog helps you move seamlessly from prep to shoot day, ensuring nothing gets lost in translation. What’s New

Version 1.5.0 Aug 11, 2026

This is the biggest update we've ever shipped: two new production tools and a rebuilt script editor. SCRIPT BREAKDOWN Mark up your script the way you would with colored pencils on paper. Select a word, tag it as a prop, wardrobe, a vehicle, or any of the twelve standard categories, and it lands in your breakdown as an element. CineLog picks up speaking characters on its own. Tag a character and they become cast: they flow into your shot list, your schedule, and the cast grid on your call sheets. The breakdown has a layout built for your phone, and breakdown sheets export as PDF. SCHEDULE The stripboard is here! Build shooting days, drag scene strips between them, and reorder your day the way ADs have done it for decades. Split a scene into parts and shoot them on different days. Cast and locations sit right on the strips, a finished day flows straight into its call sheet, and the whole board exports as a PDF. SCRIPT LOCK AND REVISIONS When you move into production, lock your script. Locked pages keep their numbers, new material goes to A-pages, revised lines get stars, and every revision round gets its own page color. Omit a scene without renumbering everything after it. THE EDITOR SHOWS REAL PAGES We rebuilt the editor's layout engine from scratch. You write on true US Letter pages with industry-standard margins, and the page break you see is the page break in your PDF. Long action and dialogue split across pages with (MORE) and (CONT'D). The title page is editable right in the editor. And the script editor now works on your phone, with page breaks and a title page made for the small screen. IMPORT REVIEW When you import a Fountain or Final Draft file into an existing project, CineLog shows you every change first. You pick what comes in and apply. If your script is locked, anything touching locked pages waits for your decision. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE - The PDF you export matches the editor page for page. - Create custom crew roles for your workspace. - Locations are saved per project, with address, parking, and nearest hospital. - Pick the date format CineLog uses. Plus bug fixes and performance improvements throughout the app.
