About this app

TIMEWRENCH – Know What You Should Pay for Auto Repairs Ever wondered if your repair shop's labour quote is fair? TIMEWRENCH puts the power in your hands. Whether you're heading to a dealership, an independent shop, or a local mechanic, TIMEWRENCH helps you understand how much time a repair should actually take—based on your exact vehicle. Simply purchase and unlock your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), and TIMEWRENCH adds it to My Garage, your personal hub for tracking all your vehicles. From there, you can search for any repair or service and instantly get trusted labour time estimates tailored to your make, model, and year. But we go a step further. Many repairs share steps (like removing a wheel or a cover). Some shops might charge for each job as if it's done separately. TIMEWRENCH prevents that. Our smart system automatically adds up labour times and subtracts overlapping work, so you get a more accurate total—and a clear comparison to what the shop is quoting you. With TIMEWRENCH, you can: - Check how long a repair should take - Understand fair labour costs before agreeing to work - Spot inflated or duplicated labour charges - Stay informed and confident at the repair counter - Save and track your cars in one place Whether you’re comparing estimates, reviewing past repairs, or just want to understand what’s under the hood, TIMEWRENCH empowers you to make smarter car repair decisions. This app is currently in a prototype phase and under active development. For now, it supports MINI Cooper models F55 and F56 only. We’re continuously working to expand support to more models and improve features in upcoming releases.
