About this app
Can't stop ordering food you didn't even want? Takeout Escape blocks DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or any delivery app you choose at the moments you actually order. And before anything unlocks, it asks you to do one thing: take a live photo of your own fridge and answer honestly. Is there anything here you could eat right now? That's the whole trick. Not guilt. Not willpower. A camera, a question, and ten seconds between you and the checkout screen. How it works 1. Tell us your pattern. A short setup finds your danger window (for a lot of us it's late evening) and what sets it off: tired, stressed, bored. 2. The block stands at the door. When you reach for a delivery app in your window, it's blocked. Your own words from setup are waiting on the block screen. 3. Check your fridge first. One live photo. One question. You give the verdict, the app never judges your food or your choices. If you still want to order after that, you can. It just has to be you deciding, not autopilot. WHAT YOU KEEP - Days decided first: a streak you keep by checking before you choose. Order on purpose and it still counts. This is not an abstinence app. - Honest counters: fridge checks, times you found something, times you walked away. Nothing estimated, nothing invented. - A note to your future self, written when you're clear-headed, delivered when you're not. - Analytics of real moments: every bar is a time the block actually stepped in. WHAT WE DON'T DO - No calorie counting, no weight talk, no shame screens - No made-up statistics about you - We never see your photos, fridge checks stay on your device, and you can delete them all anytime Takeout Escape is for autopilot ordering — the habit, not a medical condition. If your relationship with food feels bigger than a habit, it deserves real support: the National Alliance for Eating Disorders helpline is 866-662-1235 (Mon–Fri, 9am–7pm ET), or text ALLIANCE to 741741 anytime.
