About this app

Practice the U.S. naturalization civics test with the official USCIS questions — both versions. Tell the app when you filed Form N-400 and it studies you on the test you will actually be given, scored the way the real interview scores it. BOTH OFFICIAL TESTS, AND THE APP PICKS THE RIGHT ONE USCIS runs two civics tests at the same time, and your filing date decides which one you get — not your interview date. Most study apps only cover one. - Filed on or after October 20, 2025: the 2025 test. 128 questions, the officer asks 20, you need 12 correct. - Filed before that date: the 2008 test. 100 questions, the officer asks 10, you need 6 correct. You answer one question the first time you open the app, and you can change it later. Nothing else in the app makes you think about it again. WHAT YOU GET - Every official question and accepted answer from whichever test applies to you - Multiple choice built from wrong answers written for each question, so the options are plausible instead of filler - Session lengths of 5, 10, 20, 50, or the whole bank — a two-minute drill on the bus or a full-length mock exam - Every session scored at the real 60% pass mark, with the official length marked for your test - 65/20 accommodation mode: the starred question set, 10 asked, 6 correct to pass, for applicants 65 or older with 20 or more years as a lawful permanent resident - Weak-spot review that gathers the questions you missed and keeps each answer hidden until you ask for it - Progress that carries across sessions: questions seen, running accuracy, and overall mastery, tracked separately for each test AVAILABLE IN SPANISH, USING THE OFFICIAL TEXT The 100 questions and answers of the 2008 test appear with the Spanish translation USCIS publishes itself — not a translation of ours. USCIS has not released a Spanish version of the 2025 test, so those 128 questions stay in English and the app says so rather than inventing exam wording. The interview is conducted in English unless you qualify for an exemption: 50 or older with 20 years as a permanent resident (the 50/20 rule), or 55 or older with 15 years (the 55/15 rule). NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION Everything works offline, so a weak signal at the library or on the train costs you nothing. There is no sign-up and no paywall, and your progress never leaves your device. STRAIGHT ANSWERS ON THE STATE QUESTIONS A few questions have answers that depend on where you live — your senator, your representative, your governor, your state capital. This app does not turn those into fake multiple choice. It marks them and points you to look up your own answer, rather than drilling you on one that is wrong for your state. Answers about current national officeholders follow the latest USCIS updates. PART OF THE AMERICAN FOUNDING COLLECTION Miss a run of questions on one topic and the app points you to the companion app that covers it: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers, and the Bill of Rights. This is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USCIS or any U.S. government agency. Always confirm current-officeholder and state-specific answers before your naturalization interview.

What’s New

Version 1.1.0 Aug 18, 2026

- You can leave a practice session part-way through; answers you already gave are kept - A light theme, now the default, with a switch to dark on the About screen - The app is now available in Spanish, and the 100 questions of the 2008 test use the official USCIS Spanish translation - Added the 2008 civics test: all 100 official questions, 10 per session, 6 correct to pass - The app now asks once when you filed Form N-400 and studies you on the test that filing date gives you - Each test keeps its own progress, so switching between them does not mix up your accuracy - The 2025 test stays in English because USCIS has not published an official translation - Added a rating prompt after a passed practice test - The icon on your home screen now reads Citizenship Exam
