Notch Prompter

About this app

Meet Notch Prompter - the teleprompter that disappears into your Mac. Notch Prompter turns the black space around your MacBook's notch into a discreet, always-visible teleprompter. No floating windows. No distractions. Just your words, exactly where your eyes naturally rest - right at the top of your screen. Whether you're recording a YouTube video, hosting a live stream, presenting on a video call, or rehearsing a speech, Notch Prompter keeps your script in view without anyone knowing it's there. How it works Paste your script, hit start, and watch your words scroll smoothly below the notch at exactly the pace you need. A letter-by-letter color transition shows you precisely which word you're on. Features — Seamless teleprompter built directly into your MacBook notch — Import .pdf, .docs and .txt files for quick script setup — Save, rename, and delete scripts with ease — Smooth letter-by-letter reading indicator — 3-2-1 countdown before scrolling begins so you're always ready — Progress bar and estimated reading time so you always know where you stand — Adjustable scroll speed to match your natural speaking pace — Customizable prompter width for perfect positioning — Customizable active and past text colors — Adjustable font size for any viewing distance — Keyboard shortcuts for full control: • Space - pause / resume • Arrow Right / Left - adjust scrolling speed • Arrow Up / Down - scroll the text line by line • Escape - stop — Pause and resume anytime — edit your script mid-session on pause — Automatically stops when your script ends — Remembers your settings between sessions — Completely invisible to your audience Perfect for Content creators, YouTubers, podcasters, streamers, public speakers, educators, journalists, and anyone who needs to deliver polished, confident speech without memorising every word.
