About this app
Here's the full description: Partiqule scores any product from 1 to 10 on ingredient safety and health impact. Food, personal care, baby products, home goods, clothing — if it has ingredients, Partiqule scores it. Every score runs two independent research passes grounded in peer-reviewed science from NEJM, Nature Medicine, and The Lancet. No brand can pay to change a score. No advertising. No sponsored results. WHAT YOU CAN SCAN Type any product name and get an instant health score with a full breakdown of what's flagged and why. Or use the camera to photograph a product label, tag, or packaging and let Partiqule identify and score it automatically. KIDS MODE Toggle Kids Mode to see how any product scores specifically for children. Children's developing organ systems are more sensitive to synthetic dyes, hormone disruptors, and ultra-processed ingredients. M&Ms score 7 out of 10 for adults — they score 9 out of 10 for kids, because four FDA-flagged petroleum dyes have confirmed links to hyperactivity and neurodevelopment disruption in children. Kids Mode adjusts daily value thresholds for sugar, sodium, and saturated fat to reflect children's recommended limits. NUTRITION BADGES For food and beverage products, Partiqule shows sugar, sodium, and saturated fat as a percentage of daily recommended values — and automatically switches to children's daily values when Kids Mode is active. See at a glance whether a product blows through daily sugar limits in a single serving. SUBSTANCE ANALYSIS Every scan breaks down flagged substances by severity — High Concern, Medium Concern, and Low Concern — with the specific research behind each flag. Red 40 is flagged because the FDA is actively phasing it out. Titanium dioxide is flagged because the EU banned it from food in 2022. The science is cited, not summarized. CLEAN ALTERNATIVES Every scan suggests cleaner alternatives with their own scores, descriptions, and links to purchase. Switching from M&Ms to Hu Chocolate Bar eliminates four petroleum dyes and drops your score from a 7 to a 2. VERIFIED CALIBRATION Over 3,500 products have verified calibration entries — meaning their score is locked by research, not estimated by AI. Centrum Silver is locked to a minimum of 6 because it contains FD&C Blue 1, talc, and titanium dioxide. Larabar is capped at 3 because it is a NOVA 1 whole food with two ingredients. The AI handles new and unknown products. The registry handles everything it has already verified. SCORE SCALE 1 to 2 — Safe. Clean ingredients, minimal processing, no flagged substances. 3 to 4 — Good. Conventional but no significant concerns. 5 to 6 — Caution. Real concerns worth knowing about. 7 to 8 — Switch. Known harmful substances or high processing load. 9 to 10 — Avoid. Confirmed harmful ingredients or banned substances. WHAT PARTIQULE IS NOT Partiqule is not influenced by brands or advertisers. It does not accept sponsored placements. It does not inflate scores for products with marketing claims like "natural," "clean," or "plant-based." A Beyond Burger scores a 5 because it is an ultra-processed NOVA 4 formulation regardless of its plant-based positioning. Free to start. No account required for your first scans.
