Protect yourself at every swipe. Skimmer Detector uses your iPhone's Bluetooth to scan for suspicious devices commonly hidden inside ATMs, gas pump card readers, and point-of-sale terminals. Bluetooth-enabled skimmers are increasingly common — this app gives you a real-time radar to spot them before they steal your card data. --- HOW IT WORKS When you approach a payment terminal, launch the app and scan. Skimmer Detector analyzes every Bluetooth device in range against a database of known skimmer hardware signatures, behavioral patterns, and manufacturer identifiers — then tells you exactly what it found and why it's suspicious. --- DETECTION FEATURES • Known skimmer signatures — matches device names and service UUIDs against a catalog of real hardware recovered from ATMs and gas pumps, including HC-05/HC-06, HM-10, CC41-A, RN42, JDY-series, and more • Vendor identification — identifies the manufacturer behind any detected device using Bluetooth SIG company IDs • Signal stability analysis — flags devices with unusually consistent signal strength, a hallmark of hardware physically bolted inside a terminal • Dwell time detection — suspicious devices that remain visible for over 5 minutes are escalated automatically • Prior detection memory — if a device was flagged as high-risk in a previous scan, it's immediately flagged again on re-detection • Tracker detection — identifies AirTags, Tile, and other tracking devices that may have been placed on you or your belongings • Trusted device list — mark your own devices as known-safe so they never trigger false alerts REPORTING & HISTORY • Automatic GPS-tagged detection history for every high-risk event • One-tap PDF reports with device details, location, risk factors, and recommended actions — shareable directly from the app • Background scanning with instant push notifications the moment a high-risk device is detected --- IMPORTANT NOTICE Skimmer Detector is a defensive screening tool.
