About this app
Your music, only yours. Mupl is a private music player for MP3, FLAC, M4A, and WAV files you already own — ripped CDs, Bandcamp purchases, files saved from your desktop. Mupl has no streaming catalog. We don't sell you the right to listen — we help you listen to your own collection, beautifully and privately. LOCAL-FIRST Every track lives on your iPhone. Plays offline, no Wi-Fi, no buffering. Open the app and music starts — no three-second loading screen like streaming services. END-TO-END ENCRYPTED SYNC Upload from web (mupl.notadi.app) or iPhone. Mupl encrypts metadata on your device before pushing to the server. The server sees ciphertext only — it can't read your titles, artists, or playlists. Switching to a new iPhone? Sign in once — your library syncs back automatically. NO ADS. NO TRACKING. No mid-track ads. No listening behavior analytics sold to anyone. No "you might like" based on demographic data. Mupl doesn't profit from your attention — only from Pro subscriptions if you need more cloud storage. WHAT TO LISTEN TO TODAY Each morning Mupl suggests moods that match the moment: deep focus work, weekend coffee, running, quiet night. Suggestions are computed from audio features in your files — no listening history is sent to the server. GREAT IN THE BACKGROUND Control Center, lockscreen controls, AirPods touch, Siri Shortcuts integration. Stable background playback — leave it running overnight, it won't get killed. EXPORT ANYTIME Files in the iPhone sandbox are the original MP3/FLAC, no DRM. Copy them via Files.app, AirDrop to Mac, or upload to Google Drive — no vendor lock-in. PRIVACY Metadata is end-to-end encrypted. Your master key is derived from a passphrase, on your device only — Mupl never stores it, can't reset it. Lose the passphrase and your cloud library can't be decrypted (local files on iPhone still work). That's the real trade-off of zero-knowledge.
