About this app

Trace is training analytics for ambitious cyclists and runners: the app turns your workouts and health data into clear decisions. How fit am I right now? How recovered am I today? What should I do next? Trace answers these questions fresh every day, in plain language, without you having to be a sports scientist. YOUR DAILY READINESS Every morning, a score from 0 to 100, calculated from sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and your current training load. You see not just the number, but every factor behind it, its trend over the last few days, and what it means for today: push, spin easy, or put your feet up. TRAINING LOAD UNDER CONTROL Fitness, fatigue, and form based on a proven sports science model. Trace detects when your load is ramping up too fast or becoming too monotonous, and warns you before it turns into overtraining or injury. UNDERSTAND YOUR PERFORMANCE, NO LAB TEST NEEDED • FTP and Critical Power calculated automatically from your normal workouts, no test protocol required • Power curve, power zones, and your rider type profile • VO2max estimate and fitness age over time • Fatigue resistance: how stable your power stays when the ride gets long • Climb analysis with VAM, pacing, and comparisons of your ascents THE TRACE COACH Ask your questions right in the app: Why is my readiness low today? Was my last workout too hard? The trace Coach knows your data, your history, and your goals, and answers concretely, clearly, and specific to your training. PLANS THAT ADAPT Training plans built around your goal, your available time, and what your body can actually handle. When life gets in the way, the plan adapts instead of punishing you with red overdue sessions. After every workout, the workout report shows you how well plan and execution matched up. READY FOR RACE DAY Race predictions and pacing recommendations based on your real performance data, plus a fueling strategy with concrete carbohydrate and fluid amounts for training and racing. CONNECTS TO YOUR SETUP Apple Health (iPhone and Apple Watch), intervals.icu (including Garmin data), Wahoo, Polar, Suunto, and Hammerhead. You can also import FIT, TCX, and GPX files directly. What’s New

Version 1.0.4 Aug 17, 2026

Planned sessions can now go to your Apple Watch, one at a time or a whole week. They sit there as scheduled workouts, with the warm-up, the intervals and their target ranges. The training plan has been rebuilt. Today's session is right on the home screen. The week shows its seven days side by side and, below them, how much of it you have already done. And a session opens as a briefing: the numbers, the profile over the minutes, section by section, and the planned split across zones. Tap a section and the zone explains itself. Also in this release: • Race week counts down the days to the start: opener, carb loading, the day before and race-day fueling, each on the day it belongs to. Your season sits above the race list as a timeline • If you wear a CORE sensor, heat acclimatization works from your measured core temperature instead of the weather, and the session shows the measured peak and the minutes above the threshold • When the trace coach reads your data for an answer, it shows underneath which sessions and values those were. "Ask the coach about this" now sits right under an activity, your training load, your VO₂max and your recovery • Under Apps & Devices every connection explains what comes from there and what you see from it. Apple Health is now in the same list as everything else • Starter now includes form and load with all their diagnostics and the season overview, and the first two weeks of a new training plan are free Plus smaller bug fixes and stability improvements.
