My mom loves Chinese Checkers. Growing up, our family would play together for hours. When my brother and I left for college, she could not find a computer opponent that was both fun and strong enough, so I built her one. That worthy opponent grew into JumpStar: an open, verifiable Chinese Checkers AI designed for thoughtful, challenging play. Beginner difficulty is now more approachable, puzzle cards are more compact and easier to reach, and computer turns are smoother and easier to follow. This update also keeps board backgrounds visually consistent across themes and improves onboarding, analytics accuracy, and reliability throughout the game.
