About this app

Scan any product and instantly see what's really inside, who made it, and where your money goes. KNOW WHAT YOU EAT Every ingredient explained in plain English. It flags ingredients as Avoid, Caution, Moderate, or Good. Then explains why in simple language with receipts connected to scientific studies. No chemistry degree required. KNOW WHO YOU'RE FUNDING See the company behind the brand on the box. Who owns them, where they're from, their legal history, and if they have political influence affecting the food industry. KNOW WHAT IT SUPPORTS Follow the money. Every purchase is a vote. We reveal lobbying spend, political donations, and the policies your dollars help fund. WHAT YOU GET • Instant health score (0-100) for any food • Plain-language ingredient breakdowns • Allergen & dietary alerts tailored to you • Company transparency profiles • Scan the barcode or search by name Stop being sold to. What’s New
-We're Food Exposé now. New name, new icon, and a new sidekick named Specs who turns up around the app! -Ingredients in plain English. We rewrote hundreds of ingredient explanations to make them easier to read. -We also stopped showing garbled label text and duplicate ingredients, and when a label hides something behind "vegetable oil," we name the real oil. -Suggest a product by name. No barcode needed. Tell us what to add right from your profile, even if you're nowhere near a store. -Know who owns what you scan. We nearly doubled how often a scan traces a brand back to its real parent company, and added 32 companies - including the chains behind store brands. -Straighter answers. Some company pages were filling in blanks where we didn't have the data. Now a blank says blank. -Sharing is free. Send any scan to anyone. No subscription needed. -A new start. Set a goal, pick a deadline, get a nudge twice a week. -Results pulled live from the open food database are now labeled, so you can tell what we've reviewed from what we haven't. -Fixed: a crash on the home screen and a few places where the back button didn't behave.
