About this app
Tell EggTimer Max your egg's weight, starting temperature and how you like it done, and it calculates the exact time based on how heat actually travels through your egg — not a generic one-size-fits-all chart. No egg app did what I wanted, so I built one that does — and made it good-looking too. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • A real calculation, not a fixed countdown — the time is computed for your egg's exact weight, starting temperature and doneness • Three cooking methods — boiling, steaming, or a cold-water start — all solved with the same real calculation, so any way you cook it lands exactly right • Cooking several eggs at once? It tells you precisely when to drop each one in, so they all reach their perfect doneness at the very same moment (Pro) • Altitude correction — water boils cooler up high, and the app adjusts for it via the barometer or a manual setting (Pro) ALSO INSIDE • Choose doneness visually on the doneness indicator, from soft and runny to fully hard-boiled • A calm, realistic boiling and steaming animation keeps you company while you wait (Pro) • Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (Pro) • Fahrenheit/Celsius and metric/imperial, automatically • Available in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese EggTimer Max is free to use. A one-time Pro unlock adds multiple eggs at once, altitude correction, the Live Activity and the water animation. If it earns a place on your kitchen counter, you can also leave a small tip.

What’s New
Notifications that sound like the app When the timer finishes while you're in another app, the notification now rings with the app's own kitchen bell instead of the generic system chime — and the reminder while your water is heating gets its own soft tick. Presets that hold still The row of dots under each slider is now a menu that names the preset you picked, so choosing one no longer nudges the slider somewhere you didn't expect. Egg sizes spell themselves out too: M — medium, 57 g. Clearer starting temperatures The fridge preset now matches a real fridge, "Warm" has become "Summer day" so you can tell when it applies, and there's a new "Cool" in between for an egg that has been on the counter a while. Every screen reread All seven languages have been gone through line by line and a number of translation slips corrected. The walkthrough gets the timing right as well: the egg goes in the moment the 3-2-1 countdown reaches zero, not during it. Plus a range of smaller interface improvements and bug fixes.
