London Kitesurfers (LKSA) brings regularly-updated wind forecast, tide and safety information for every kitesurfing spot within a couple of hours' drive of central London - and now, for anywhere you travel. Know which beach to head to, and which to skip, before you leave. WHAT YOU GET Interactive map of every south-east coast kite spot with a colour-coded verdict for the next 7 days. Hourly wind-direction map per spot - scrub the day; arrow, tide state and off-shore flag update in sync. Tide-zone day-strip: green kite window, amber "wing/foil", red "no kiting" at high tide. Per-spot detail: peak wind, direction vs the beach, tide window, hourly breakdown, safety verdict, water quality, hazards, What3words. CUSTOM + COMMUNITY SPOTS - ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD (v2.0) Add your own spot in three steps - or let the guided builder turn past GPS sessions into spots. Keep it Private, share it as a link, or list it on the community map layer every LKSA user can browse and import. Shared spots collect a 7-day multi-model wind forecast, tides where covered, and live readings from nearby weather stations; suggest edits with history and rollback. New in v2.1: every community pin opens a full forecast page - Forecast, Info and Wind & Tide tabs, in the spot's local time, cached offline. AI spot research fills in a new spot's details for you. REPORT THE WIND (new in v2.1) On the beach and the forecast's wrong? Post a wind report from the spot page - speed in knots, direction straight from your phone's compass, snapped to the spot you're standing at. Reports appear on the live wind chart and community spot pages for everyone. PROBABILITY OF WIND (new in v2.1) Spot pages carry a confidence line for today and tomorrow from the Met Office IMPROVER probabilistic blend - how likely the wind is to arrive, and the peak hour. WINDGURU - STANDARD & PRO (v2.0) Embed the Windguru forecast for any spot, on any forecast day. Standard is free; sign in once to your Windguru PRO account for premium models and extended range. APPLE WATCH The club map on your wrist - today + tomorrow, colour-coded, fetched by the watch itself so it works with the phone off. Live wind with a red OFFSHORE warning, complications that open the spot directly, your last 5 sessions with track maps, and an on-water recorder saving to Apple Health - which now checks you're near the water before it starts. LIVE WIND Real anemometers, not just models: the actual wind near each spot, updated every few minutes, labelled with station, distance and age. Star any nearby station to pin it as your primary reading. FORECAST ACCURACY + WIND HISTORY Every spot links to a Forecast Accuracy view with a bias breakdown - lead time, observed wind band, direction and source model - plus a full wind archive to compare any date's forecast against what actually happened. Tap "Report wind" on a spot page: speed in kt, direction straight from your phone's compass (or exact degrees), snapped to the spot you're standing at. Works offline — reports queue and send when you're back in signal. Reports appear on the live wind chart and community spot pages, with per-day direction arrows. COMMUNITY SPOT PAGES — FULL FORECAST (new in 2.1) Tapping a community pin now opens a full tabbed page: Forecast (the same layout as LKSA spot pages, in the spot's local time), Info, and Wind & Tide with the multi-model chart, tides and nearby live stations. Cached for offline reading. Map pins: green = shared community spots, blue = your private spots.
