About this app
Workshop Calc is an offline metal and machinist calculator for workshop estimates and job records. Use it to estimate metal weight, convert fractions and units, check thread and tap drill sizes, browse drill and material references, save calculations to jobs, and export job sheets or coordinate files. Free tools cover common shop calculations including metal weight, unit conversion, tap drill estimates, drill charts, material lookup, and right triangle math. Workshop Calc Pro unlocks Sheet Metal Bend calculations using bend allowance, bend deduction and K-factor for a single-bend flat-length estimate, plus other advanced tools, full references, unlimited jobs and history, custom shop data, and PDF, CSV, DXF, JSON and guarded G-code template exports. The app is local-first, requires no account, shows no ads, and is built for offline shop use. Results are estimates and starting points. New in 1.1: • Pro Sheet Metal Bend estimates bend allowance (BA), bend deduction (BD), outside setback, and single-bend flat length from leg lengths, thickness, inside radius, bend angle, and K-factor. • Switch between metric and imperial units, save results to jobs and history, and include bend details in PDF and CSV exports. • Existing local jobs, history, custom materials, favorites, and Pro access are migrated to the new data format with a pre-migration backup. Results are estimates. Verify critical bends with your material, tooling, process data, and a test piece.
