As you improve, the app learns your true level, shows it as a rating, and serves you sentences matched to your skill. You are not racing other people. You are racing yourself. The idea Inspired by competitive games, MistakeLab measures your language ability with a dynamic rating. Perform well on difficult sentences and your rating increases. Struggle with easier ones and it drops. As your rating changes, the app continuously adapts the difficulty of future exercises so you're always challenged at the right level. The core loop is simple: 1. The app shows you a sentence in the language you speak. 2. You try to write it in the language you are learning. 3. The app scores your translation out of 100 and explains every mistake, one by one. 4. Your rating moves based on how well you did against a sentence pitched at your level. Over time the app understands your level better, and the sentence difficulty keep adapting so you are always challenged.
