ShiftKal turns a photo of your work rota into reliable wake-up alarms — so you never oversleep a shift again, and you still get the rest you need. Built for nurses, carers, factory and warehouse crews, hospitality staff, drivers, and everyone else who works rotating or irregular shifts. HOW IT WORKS 1. Snap or import your rota. Take a photo, pick a screenshot from your library, or add a PDF. Prefer typing? Just describe your rotation in plain words. 2. Review before anything is scheduled. ShiftKal's AI reads your shifts, then you confirm and edit every one. Nothing is scheduled behind your back. 3. Wake up on time. An alarm is set for each shift, calculated from your start time minus your own prep, commute, and buffer. Override any wake time whenever you like. RELIABLE ALARMS • A dedicated, full-screen alarm that shows your shift and start time • Gradual volume so you wake gently but surely • On iPhones running iOS 26 and later, alarms use Apple's AlarmKit; on older versions they fall back to local notifications • Alarms are stored on your device and keep working fully offline PROTECT YOUR SLEEP • A suggested "sleep by" time so you get enough rest before each shift • An optional sleep reminder • A pre-sleep wind-down check that confirms your alarm is armed and your phone is set to ring before you doze off STAY IN CONTROL • Manual shift entry is always available and always free • A clear home screen anchored to your next shift, with a readiness state (ready / warning / rota ending / no rota) • A calendar view of your shifts and a home-screen widget MADE FOR YOUR LIFE • Full German and English support • 24-hour or 12-hour time to match your region, week starting Monday • Multiple colour palettes, plus Light, Dark, and System themes PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your personal details — shift notes, titles, locations, and colleague names — stay on your device and are never sent to any server. Rota photos are used only to read your shifts and are deleted right after processing. You don't need an email or account to use the app. Product analytics are anonymous and can be turned off in Settings. Data is hosted in the EU. PRICING & SUBSCRIPTION Your first rota scan is free. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple Account Settings. Because AI scans have a real per-scan cost, every plan includes a monthly scan allowance; you can buy extra scans as a one-time credit pack, and manual shift entry is always free.
