About this app
Write one idea. Get a finished film — script, shots, cast, camera and score. Filme writes a shot-by-shot script from your idea, renders one still keyframe for every shot, and shows you the whole film as a storyboard. Only when you approve it does Filme animate those frames into a film up to five minutes long. HOW IT WORKS 1. Describe your idea, or start from a template. Pick portrait or widescreen, a genre, and a length. 2. Filme writes the script and renders a keyframe for every shot. No video is generated yet. 3. Open the storyboard and direct it. Rewrite any prompt, add, delete or reorder shots, and set lighting, palette, lens, focal length, aperture and camera move. These changes cost nothing. Re-rendering a keyframe or running a single test shot costs credits. 4. Generate the videos. Every keyframe becomes a clip, then the clips are stitched with your score, title card and end card into one film. THE SAME CAST, SHOT AFTER SHOT Build a character from your own photo or from a description. Filme renders a four-view reference sheet — front, three-quarter, full-body and profile — and passes it into every shot, so your character holds across the film. Make variants of a character that inherit the original look. Save sets, props and looks and reuse them in later films. DIRECT IT, DON'T DESCRIBE IT Lighting, palette, lens, focal length, aperture, camera move and speed ramp are settings, not adjectives. Apply them to the whole film, to one location, or to a single shot. WHEN IT IS DONE Watch it in a full-screen player. Save to Photos or share it. Cut vertical Shorts along the film's own shot boundaries. Get a title, description, tags and real timestamped chapters ready for publishing. ALSO IN THE APP Browse curated films in Explore and download them for offline viewing. Start from ready-made story templates. Get a push notification the moment your storyboard or film is ready. Available in English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese. CREDITS Writing the script and rendering keyframes costs a flat fee based on the film's length. Video is charged per second of finished film. Your balance and the exact cost of every paid step are shown before you confirm it. If a film fails to render, your credits are returned. SUBSCRIPTIONS Filmmaker Weekly ($9.99 per week) and Filmmaker Yearly ($79.99 per year) are auto-renewing subscriptions that include a credit allowance for the period. Subscription credits refresh each period and unused credits do not carry over. Credit packs are one-time purchases and are added on top. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
