About this app

Know before you go. The Bite gives Mid-Atlantic and East Coast shore anglers real-time conditions, species activity, and tide windows — all in one place. TODAY'S CONDITIONS See a bite score for your area, updated with current wind, tide phase, water temperature, and time of day. If the live feed ever goes down, The Bite shows your latest data so you're never left blank. TIDE WINDOWS Upcoming highs and lows at a glance, with your prime fishing windows highlighted. LOCAL FISHING REPORTS A daily feed of real reports from bait shops, piers, and local sources in your region. SPECIES ACTIVITY See which fish are running near you right now, based on real angler catches and community reports. LOG CATCHES & SAVE SPOTS Keep a catch log with photos, and save your own fishing spots. Share spots with the community or keep your honey holes private — your call. 14 REGIONS COVERED Sandy Hook NJ, Cape May NJ, Delaware Beaches, Ocean City MD, Annapolis & Upper Chesapeake, Lower Chesapeake Bay, Eastern Shore VA, Virginia Beach & Sandbridge, Outer Banks NC, Nags Head NC, Hatteras Village NC, Crystal Coast NC, Wilmington NC, and Myrtle Beach SC. BUILT FOR SHORE ANGLERS No offshore content. No freshwater clutter. The Bite is designed specifically for surf, pier, inlet, and bay fishermen working the Mid-Atlantic coast.

See the tide, not just the numbers. The Today screen now draws the next 12 hours of tide as a live curve — where you are on it right now, your bite window highlighted, and every turn labeled with time and height. Each day in the 7-Day Forecast gets its own tide curve with dawn and dusk marked, so you can spot Prime turns at a glance. Smarter bite windows, tuned to how experienced surf anglers fish: high-tide windows now open two hours before the turn, and the app knows when a window is still open just after a turn. Your spots grew up too. Move a spot's pin by dragging it right on the map, delete spots you no longer need, and see each spot's tide outlook — its NOAA station and the next turns, tagged Prime, Good, or Fair — right on the spot's card. If the nearest station is on the wrong water (a lagoon behind an inlet instead of your beach), pin the right one yourself. And zoom in on the Spots map to see every pin's name.
