About this app
Prepare properly for the DTZ (Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer). The DTZ is the language exam at the end of the German integration course, and its overall result shows whether you have reached level A2 or B1. APP LANGUAGE The app's menus, screens and buttons are in English, and you can change the language at any time on the home screen: German, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Turkish or English. The questions are in German, because the exam is in German. Answer explanations are currently in German and English. WHAT IS INSIDE - 60 listening tasks with recordings made for this app, in the four exam formats (announcements, short radio notices, everyday conversations, opinions), each with a full transcript - 480 everyday reading tasks, each with an explanation of the correct answer - 571 flashcards: the words and phrases you need for work, housing, public offices, health, shopping and family - Writing: the structure of the exam letter, useful phrases and five model letters (complaint, cancellation and apology, enquiry, invitation, moving an appointment) - Speaking: typical questions, phrases and model answers for all three parts - A timed mock exam and a review of the questions you got wrong - Works fully offline, with no account and no sign-up HOW THE DTZ WORKS The DTZ has a written part of 100 minutes (listening, reading and a short letter) and an oral part of about 15 minutes. To reach B1 overall you need B1 in the speaking part and in at least one of the written results: either listening and reading, which are scored together, or writing. EVERYDAY TOPICS The tasks and flashcards cover the themes of the integration course: work and career, housing and daily life, offices and authorities, health and social life, shopping, money and contracts, and family, education and free time.
