Open nearly any score file, or start from a blank staff, and work with real notation. Tap in notes, drag them into place, hear the tune played back, and print a clean score when it's ready. WRITING MUSIC, WITHOUT THE FIGHT Tap notes onto the staff from a simple palette: pitches, durations, rests, new bars, and drag any notehead up or down to change its pitch. It snaps to the key you're in. On the Mac, the keyboard does the work: arrow keys move the selection and nudge pitch, one shortcut duplicates a note, another deletes it. On iPhone and iPad it's all touch. Play a melody on the built-in piano keyboard and watch it land on the staff as notation, with the rhythms, chords, rests, ties, and accidentals worked out. Every tune is plain text underneath, the ABC format the folk and session world runs on, and you can edit that source directly whenever it's faster. See any tune as tablature: guitar, bass, ukulele, or mandolin. Adjust a fret, move a note to another string without changing its pitch, and mark playing techniques. HIGHLIGHTS Scores that print beautifully: engraving is fully vector, on paper and in PDF and SVG exports, so it stays sharp at any size. Share in their format: export MusicXML, MEI, Guitar Pro, MIDI, ABC, ASCII tab, a PNG image, or a WAV recording of the playback.
