About this app
Markary is a Markdown editor for the Mac that treats your notes as what they are: a folder of plain text files you actually own. Write on the left, watch it render on the right. Pick a font and a theme you like, and let the app get out of the way. Everything you type is ordinary Markdown saved as .md files — open them in any other app, sync them however you already sync things, and never get locked into a format you can't leave. When a handful of notes grows into something bigger, turn on Vault mode. Connect notes with [[wiki-links]] and Markary keeps track of what points where. Browse by folder, filter by #tag, jump through backlinks, and search the full text of everything in a keystroke. Then open the graph to see it all at once — every note a dot, every link a line — and click around to rediscover connections you'd forgotten you made. A few more things it does: • Export a clean PDF or Word (.docx) when you need to hand something off • Rewrite, summarize, or tidy up a passage with AI tools that run on your Mac, not on someone's server • Print using the same layout you see in the preview • Paste or drop in images and keep them in a folder next to your note (or embed them) • Pull a CSV straight into a Markdown table Markary is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no account, nothing to sign up for. Try every Pro feature free for 14 days and make up your own mind. Made for people who like their notes plain and their apps native.
