About this app
Avesia keeps track of your eye drops, your symptoms and your readings between appointments, then turns all of it into a report you can hand to your ophthalmologist. Built for people managing a long term eye condition: glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, uveitis, cataract, dry eye and allergies. THE VISIT REPORT Most of what your doctor needs to know happens between appointments, and most of it is forgotten by the time you get there. Avesia generates a clear PDF summary of your medication history, your pressure readings, your symptoms and your notes, ready to print or share. Every section is labeled, and a section with no readings says so rather than disappearing. Adherence figures always state the period they cover, and no percentage is shown at all until there is enough history for it to mean anything. DROPS AND SUPPLEMENTS Add your medications once and Avesia handles the rest. Reminders that keep working when the app is closed Take or Snooze straight from the notification Photograph a bottle and the label is read for you, matched against a built in database of common ophthalmic medications Correct spacing between drops scheduled close together, with a Lock Screen countdown Days of supply remaining, and a refill warning before you run out Post operative tapering schedules, entered from the instructions your surgeon gave you AREDS2, omega 3 and lutein presets with meal timing notes YOUR DIARY Intraocular pressure, left and right, charted over time Blood pressure, pulse and blood sugar Dryness score, hydration and a symptom checklist Free text notes for anything else Trend charts on a fixed scale, so a steady reading looks steady Choose the conditions you manage and the diary reorders itself to put what matters to you first. HOME CHECKS Optional self checks to do between appointments and bring to your next visit: an Amsler grid, a near acuity check with one time screen calibration, and a contrast sensitivity check. These are self administered screening aids kept for your own records. They do not diagnose anything and they are not a substitute for an eye examination. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your health data is stored on your iPhone and never leaves it. There is no account, no sign in and no server. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is sold, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind. The one optional exception is the dry eye weather feature. It is off unless you turn it on, and if you do, only your approximate area, rounded to roughly a kilometer, is sent to look up humidity and air quality. No health information is ever included. Export your full history to a file whenever you want it. BUILT TO BE READ Dynamic Type support up to the largest accessibility sizes, VoiceOver labels throughout, generous tap targets, and a dark mode that was designed rather than filtered. Avesia is free. No in app purchases, no subscription, no advertising. IMPORTANT Avesia records, reminds and reports. It does not diagnose, interpret results, assess your condition or recommend treatment. Pre-filled dose schedules are common defaults offered for convenience only. Always follow your own prescription label and the instructions your ophthalmologist gives you. If your vision changes suddenly, contact your eye doctor.
