About this app
People fly the flag on different days, and in different ways. Norway hoists at eight in summer and nine in winter, later still north of the Arctic Circle. Lithuania lowers the flag a third of the way, not half. Flag Calendar carries the rule as each country wrote it: the days, the hoisting and lowering times for your date and place, and whether the flag flies at full mast, half or one third. The app carries more than 50 countries and territories and more than 600 flag days. Almost every one is taken from the government's own regulation and linked back to it. Where a state publishes no flag-day instrument at all, the app says so plainly instead of leaving a gap. FREE - Your country's flag days for the year ahead - Hoisting and lowering times worked out for your date and place - Full mast, half mast and one third, exactly as the rule says FULL ATLAS (one-time unlock) - The background to every day and the rule that governs it - Reminders the evening before and on the morning itself - A link to the regulation behind each day - Home screen widgets and an Apple Watch app Movable days are computed, not guessed. Easter, midsummer, Advent and the weekday rules are worked out from the same definitions the authorities use, so the dates hold for any year. Everything runs on your device. No account, no network, no tracking, no ads. Fly it right.
