About this app
ShutterMap helps photographers record where they were, review their daily tracks, and add location and creator information to photos and videos. RECORD LOCATIONS YOUR WAY • All-Day Low Power records meaningful movement and visits while using less energy. • Scheduled Location maintains an approximate background session, then briefly gets an accurate fix at your chosen interval. • Continuous Recording uses high-accuracy location for a duration you choose. • A manual update lets you capture your current location and refresh GPX at any time. REVIEW AND ORGANIZE GPX • Browse tracks by day on Apple Maps. • Open every saved point by its recording time and sequence number. • Import and export standard GPX files. • Organize GPX as a single file or by day, week, or month. • Store files on this device, in iCloud Drive, or both. MATCH PHOTOS, VIDEOS, AND RAW • Match capture times to the nearest saved location. • Adjust camera time zone and clock offset when needed. • Write location, creator, email, website, and copyright metadata. • For file-based RAW, read the capture time and export a same-named XMP sidecar without modifying the RAW original. • For RAW selected from Apple Photos, update only the Photos-library location; the RAW original is not replaced or modified. • Export a copy or, after confirmation and verification, update a supported non-RAW original. • Preserve image and video quality whenever the selected format supports lossless metadata updates. PRIVATE iCLOUD SYNC Locations and supported settings can sync through your private iCloud account. Offline changes remain on the device and retry when a connection becomes available. ShutterMap includes a 14-day full-feature trial. Full Access is a one-time purchase—no subscription and no automatic renewal. Background execution and location timing are controlled by iOS and may be delayed. Continued background recording requires the appropriate location permission. Force-quitting the app can prevent background updates until it is opened again.
Latest release
What’s New
• Fixed an issue where some valid JPEG and HEIC items could be reported as unreadable. • Apple Photos now displays original filenames, while exported extensions follow the media's actual format. • iCloud download, missing-resource, and permission states are now reported separately. • Fixed repeated selections causing previously matched items to be counted as import failures. • Improved Apple Photos loading, cancellation, and location-only update speed, with safer handling for large images and videos. • File-based RAW creates a same-named XMP sidecar without modifying the RAW or overwriting an existing XMP.
