Shmangus is a personal assistant that actually holds your life, not just a chat window. No ads, nothing sold, and you can delete everything at any time. Requires a free Anthropic API key from console.anthropic.com.

Calls and voice notes are here — talk, or send a quick recording without leaving the thread. Messages grew up. Reply to a specific message, edit or unsend what you sent, react with any emoji, send photos and stickers, and see when someone is typing. Threads now show avatars, nicknames, who is around, and each person's local time. Notifications actually arrive now, so a new message reaches you even when the app is closed. Also new: a theme library, mute and read-receipt controls, and block & report. Fixed: Messages no longer crashes on some devices, the keyboard stops covering what you are typing, tapping a reminder opens the page it should, and the Lock Screen and Control Centre buttons work again.
