About this app
Аиҭагаҩ is a voice translator for the Abkhazian language, from the Bagrat Shinkuba Foundation. Press the microphone and speak. The app recognises your speech, translates it, and says the result aloud in the language you chose. FIFTEEN LANGUAGES Abkhazian, Adyghe, Kabardian, Ossetian, Russian, English, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Arabic, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Chinese, in any combination. HONEST ABOUT QUALITY Machine translation of Abkhazian is markedly weaker than for large languages — there simply is not much text for models to learn from. We treat the result as a draft rather than a finished translation, and the app says so plainly. Found a mistake? Write to us; corrections feed directly into our work. FREE, NO ACCOUNT No account, no advertising, nothing to buy. There is a daily request limit: the service runs on hardware the foundation pays for. WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR VOICE The recording goes to our server only to be turned into text, and is deleted the moment that finishes. It is not stored, not reviewed by a person, and not used to train models. Details at bagrat.fund/privacy.html Needs a connection: recognition, translation and speech all run on servers. info@bagrat.fund
