Never let your guard down. Protect yourself from the risks that uncontrolled exposure to the sun can cause. The App helps protect you from UV rays, giving you the level of solar ultraviolet radiation that reaches the earth's surface at your location. Index values range from zero upwards: the higher the value, the greater the potential for skin and eye damage. The UV index was conceived with a view to increasing population awareness of the risks of excessive exposure to solar radiation and was developed as part of a collaboration between the World Health Organization, the Program for the Environment of United Nations (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization and the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Make sure you have turned on your device's Location Services and are connected to the Internet. At this point the application will detect your geographical position. The display will show the name of the place and the value of the UV radiation, also indicating recommendations for the level of protection required.
