About this app
AirTrace helps you understand what is really on your network. Scan your local network, identify connected devices, inspect open services, and run practical diagnostics. AirTrace discovers Macs, iPhones, iPads, Android devices, routers, printers, NAS systems, speakers, smart home bridges, cameras, servers, and more. It shows details such as IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, vendors, models, DNS names, mDNS names, SMB names, open ports, and live reachability status. With the security component, you can scan discovered devices for common issues across monitored service ports. AirTrace checks devices against a bundled CVE database with 8,689 known vulnerability entries across 107 products, plus additional checks for exposed services, plaintext protocols, risky ports, missing HTTP security headers, and common network misconfigurations. Findings are grouped by severity, with clear descriptions, references, and remediation guidance where available. With the Bonjour component, you can check what devices are advertising on your network, including services such as AirPlay, printers, SMB file sharing, HomeKit, Google Cast, Sonos, Spotify Connect, Home Assistant, Shelly, Matter, SSH, VNC, and more. You can scan all Bonjour-capable devices, review service counts, open service details, inspect ports, and view TXT records. Features include: - Fast local network scanning - Automatic network interface detection - Custom IPv4 scan ranges - Configurable discovery ports and host timeouts - Searchable, sortable device table - Online, discovered, offline, and unknown status indicators - Smart device identification using vendor, Apple, Android, Bonjour, DNS, SMB, and port signals - Editable device hostnames - Copyable IP address, hostname, vendor, model, MAC address, and row data - Detailed device inspector with network, identity, and sharing information - IPv4 plus local and global IPv6 visibility AirTrace also includes built-in diagnostic tools for individual devices: - Ping with configurable probe count and timeout - Traceroute with adjustable hop limits - TCP port scanning with quick, common, extended, custom, top 1,024, top 10,000, or full 1-65,535 ranges - Bonjour / mDNS service inspection - Per-device security checks
