COLOR-matcher is a new and practical application for printing factories, integrated with printer calibration tool and a tool for handling different colored paper. This application helps solve issues that most printing factories face during the production process, such as: - The cost of materials for calibrating multiple printers with different types of paper to maintain a stable state across the entire system. - The inconvenience and passive approach when handling differently colored paper due to having to use paper from different manufacturers or paper batches. GRAY BALANCE CALCULATION TOOL is a tool used for calibrating printers to international standards using the gray balance and tonality control method. Version 1.0 is applied to reference printing conditions for offset printing on coated sheet-fed paper, with other reference printing conditions to be updated in version 2.0. Key features of the GRAY BALANCE CALCULATION TOOL: - Direct printer calibration on any sample printing job, instead of conducting a separate test print for each type of paper as per the traditional calibration process used by experts. - Using a mini gray balance bar (68mm * 8mm) instead of the large color charts that current calibration software typically uses. This mini bar can easily be placed into the layout of any sample printing job. During the sample printing job process, once the primary CMYK colors and RGB overprint colors meet the standards, the data from the mini color bar is entered into the GRAY BALANCE CALCULATION TOOL for processing and necessary adjustments to the calibration curve to achieve gray balance and ensure Colorspace Compliance. - With this approach, COLOR-matcher significantly reduces material costs and time for each printer calibration. Thus, this application enables the setup and maintenance of a calibrated state for an entire printing system. By keeping all printers calibrated with multiple types of paper, the printing factory can improve its production efficiency. PAPERmatch is a tool that helps you efficiently handle color variations in paper when switching to paper from a different manufacturer or a different paper batch. You just need to enter the L*a*b* data of the printed paper sample color and the color of the paper to be used. The tool will calculate and display the color change when you input the L*a*b* data of the colors you are concerned with controlling. The level of color deviation is calculated using Delta E methods such as 1976, 2000, and CMC, allowing you to choose the method that matches the customer's evaluation criteria. The color difference is displayed visually, making it easier for you to assess and make decisions. - When using PAPERmatch, you will reduce additional costs due to color variations in paper, such as lost time, materials (including prints, paper, ink), labor costs, and other management expenses when stopping the press to fix files, as in traditional methods.
