About this app
GridDay turns today into a small board of squares. Finish one thing, light up one square. Squares unlock from the centre outwards — you have to finish what is in front before what is behind it opens. So you never face the whole list at once. You only look at the next square. WHY A BOARD, NOT A LIST Lists get longer, and the longer they get the less you want to open them. A board has nine squares. Full is full. It forces you to choose — and choosing is the hard part. UNLOCKS FROM THE CENTRE The first thing you plan to do goes in the middle. Finish it and the four sides open; finish those and the corners open. You don't have to arrange the order yourself: the deadline you set decides which ring an item lands in. IT ASKS WHEN YOU'RE LATE Tap a square after your own deadline and it asks what you were doing during that time. Not to scold you — so the time that slipped away has somewhere to be recorded. After a week you can see which reason you give most often. If you genuinely can't do something today, you can let it go. The square stays on the board rather than pretending it never happened. SIX WAYS OF BEING SPOKEN TO The same facts, told by a different voice: Gentle, Snark, Wuxia storyteller, Cat, Boss, and Mom. Gentle is the free default. Each of the other five can be tried for a day by watching a single ad first. A DIARY THAT WRITES ITSELF Every day leaves behind a small picture of your board: done on time, done late, planned but untouched. After a week you can see what your days actually look like, rather than what you assume they look like. YOUR DATA What you write — your tasks, diary and moods — stays on your device. No account, no cloud sync, and no way for us to see it. FULL VERSION No ads, 4×4 and 5×5 boards, all tones, planning suggestions, yearly review and data export. A one-time purchase, not a subscription. No countdown timers, no limited-time discounts, no red dots.
