About this app

Use iMekMak to help you understand how Turkish suffixes are put together and in which order. Just enter a Turkish (or English) verb and it will do the rest. - Tenses: • Past • Reported Past • Simple Present (aorist) • Present Progressive • Future • Conditional • Optative/Subjunctive • Necessitative • Imperative and more... - Modifiers for the tenses: • Narrative past, • Reported Past • Conditional - Switches: • Causative • Passive • Potential • Negative • Question Conjugate verbs in all of the combinations described above. - In Participles Mode you can produce adjectives from verbs. • -miş (past) • -dik (present/past) • -en (present/subject) • -r / -mez (aorist) • -ecek (future) • -esi (wish/desire) - In Verbal Nouns Mode you can produce nouns from verbs. • -mek (infinitive) • -me (short infinitive) • -iş (the way...) - In Gerunds Mode you can produce again nouns from verbs but these have additional properties that verbal nouns do not have. • -erek (by doing...) • -ip (and...) • -ince (when...) • -meden (before/without...) • -dikçe (the more...) • -mektense (instead of...) • -ken (while...) • -eli (since...) • -diği zaman (when...) • -diğinde (when...) • -diği sürece (so long as...) • -ene kadar (until...) - Over 3000 verbs embedded for recognition, over a 1500 of which have English translations available. (So this can be useful for Turks learning English too) - Optional colour coding of suffixes as well as hyphens to separate suffixes to help digest those long words! - iMekMak is now a free app with all formerly paywalled features unlocked for all users.
