About this app

LANcade turns your phone into a party game server. No accounts necessary, no ads, no data collection, no analytics, just a WiFi connection and a group of friends together in the same room. HOW IT WORKS Start hosting a session in the app with one button and invite players via the QR code or shareable link. While on the same WiFi, your friends join from their phone's browser, no app install required. If no local network is available, the host can create a hotspot. Pick a game, configure, and play. WHY LANcADE - Fun and simple games that anyone can enjoy! - No accounts or sign-ups necessary. - Your data never leaves the room; nothing is transmitted past your WiFi router. - No ads, no tracking, no analytics. The app does not collect or share any usage data. - Friends join from their browser. No download, no install, no store visit for anyone but the host. - Free to play. Four games are included at no cost: Quick Fire, Last Word Standing, 5 Letter Word, and Telepathy. - One purchase unlocks everything forever. A single one-time payment processed via your Apple account unlocks all remaining games, including every future game added to the app. You never pay again. GAMES (10 so far) Category Clash: Quick Fire — Race to submit as many words for a category and letter. Most accepted words wins. Unlimited^ players (recommended 2–8). Category Clash: Multicat — Multiple categories, one shared letter. Submit one word per category before time ends. Most accepted words wins. Unlimited^ players (recommended 2–8). Last Word Standing — Take turns submitting a word for the category and letter before the timer. Miss a turn and you're eliminated. Last remaining player wins. 2+ players (recommended 4–8), no upper limit^. 5 Letter Word — Each player has six guesses to find the five-letter word. Green and yellow letters provide clues. First to guess wins. Unlimited^ players. Mind Match — Fill-in-the-blank matching game. Submit a word to complete a prompt. Two matching answers score 3 points each; three or more score 1 each. 3+ players (recommended 4–10), no upper limit^. Alphabet Race — Race through all 26 letters. First to submit a valid word for a letter scores the point. Most points wins. Unlimited^ players (recommended 2–8). Undercover Agent — One player is secretly the undercover agent and doesn't know the secret word. Civilians submit clues to identify each other. 3+ players (recommended 4–10), no upper limit^. Trading Exchange — Estimate the hidden total value of all dealt cards, then trade to profit. Each round reveals one card per player. Most profit wins. 2+ players (recommended 2–8), maximum number of players is 52 divided by the number of cards each. Nine Dash — Build words from a 3x3 grid of jumbled letters. Find the hidden nine-letter word for double points. Highest score wins. Unlimited^ players (recommended 2–8). Telepathy — Cooperate in silence to place your cards in ascending order onto a shared pile. If you place a card higher than another's unplayed card, you lose the round. 2+ players (recommended 3–6), upper limit 100^.
