Independent, unofficial guide: this app is not published by the City of Lyon. Every year the Festival of Lights draws millions of visitors into the streets of Lyon. Streets closed to traffic, metro stations with no entry, footbridges shut at set hours: without knowing it, it is easy to end up stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time. This app builds you a walking route from four questions: which evening you are coming, who with, how much time you have and where you set off from. It takes the real closures of each evening into account to plan a route around them, and warns you before they catch you out. WHAT IS FREE - The sites that host the festival every year, with a photo and a description, to browse now and plan your evening. - The city centre map: metro stations with no entry, closed footbridges, car parks and park and ride sites. - The evening alert: real closing times for the pedestrian zone and the footbridges. - Practical details: extra TCL services, single ticket price, where to park. - The first stop of your personalised route. - Reminders: when the official programme lands, two days before, on the night before the lights go on, and at the end of the evening. WHAT THE ONE OFF PURCHASE UNLOCKS - Every stop on your route, in order, with the suggested time on site. - Walking time between each stop, and an alert when the next leg depends on a footbridge that may be closed that evening. - The end of night assistant: which way out from your last stop, which footbridge to watch, and when to leave to dodge the crush. One single purchase, valid for life. No subscription, no renewal. ABOUT THE 2026 PROGRAMME The official artwork programme is published by the City of Lyon in October or November. Until it lands, this app shows no presumed artwork: it shows the locations, and says so plainly. As soon as it is published the app is updated site by site, and if you have turned on reminders it tells you right then.
