Magic Diary's AI lives entirely on your device: no servers, no cloud, no connection required. What you write never leaves your device. And your most personal pages stay protected with Face ID, Touch ID or password, blurred until you're the one looking. Your journal is yours, literally. FOUR WAYS TO LOOK AT A PAGE Narrative reframing: some days feel heavy as long as you look at them from the inside. Pick a world among fantasy, romance, adventure, sci-fi and many more, and let your page become a tale that honors what you feel: the emotions stay yours, only the distance changes. That's where a hard day finds a shape, and sometimes even a little hope. Reflection finds the moments worth pausing on and asks you the right questions. Solutions spots the practical problems and suggests ways through them. Decisions recognizes the choices in front of you and weighs them with you, pros and cons. And every page is gently read by the on-device AI to recognize the emotions it carries, all by itself. You can turn it off anytime in the app Settings. A SEA FOR YOUR MOODS You don't log your mood with a form: you raise a wave. Drag your finger across the sea, name what you feel and what's behind it. The tide takes it in. And when you want to look back, one tap on the sea opens your history: entry after entry, your sea takes shape. A COMPLETE JOURNAL A page can hold more than words: add a photo to keep the moment, or a voice memo when your voice finds what the pen can't. If you'd rather listen, Magic Diary reads your pages and tales out loud. Text takes the shape you want, with bold, italics, colors and fonts. Time filters bring back the days you're looking for. And when a tale is good enough to share, only the tale gets shared: your page stays yours. This is the biggest update in Magic Diary's story. Here's what's waiting for you. A SEA FOR YOUR MOODS The new main view is a living sea, and it's far more than a visual: it's your mood tracker. Rest your finger on the water and drag left or right to raise a wave, choosing how intense and how pleasant the feeling is. Release, and you'll name the emotions behind it, then their causes. Save, and the tide answers with a confirmation. Tap the sea anytime to open your history, protected by default: it asks for Face ID, Touch ID or password before showing anything. FOUR AI FEATURES, ONE BUTTON A new Apple Intelligence button gathers them all. Narrative reframing replaces the old story generation, rebuilt from the ground up: pick a world and see your experience from a completely different perspective, with your emotions and mood untouched. Reflection finds the moments worth pausing on and helps you think them through with specific questions. Solutions spots the practical tasks in your text and suggests ways to solve them. Decisions finds the choices you're facing, weighs pros and cons for each, and closes with a final suggestion. YOUR PAGES, FRONT AND CENTER The journal now shows your pages, not the generated tales. Each one carries its detected emotions and small signs for photos, voice memos and tales, in a cleaner, more pleasant layout. Locked pages stay blurred, their content unreadable until you authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or password, and when locked pages exist, a lock icon up top unlocks them all at once. The date filter now shows which filter is active, and the new page button moved to be easier to reach. MORE FOR EVERY PAGE The page view breathes: the title is big and clear below the character counter, date and time have more room up top. From the three-dots menu you can lock and unlock a page, or remove its lock entirely, always with authentication. You can add a photo straight into a page, to keep the moment. And you can record and listen back to voice memos, when your voice finds what the pen can't. QUALITY OF LIFE Formatting shortcuts now live right above the keyboard on iPhone and in the top bar on iPad and Mac: no more opening the menu for every tweak. In the app Settings you can set your name and gender, so the AI can address you the right way, and turn automatic emotion analysis on or off. It runs whenever a page is created or edited.
