The metronome that listens back. Metronome Hero is a free rhythm training app for musicians. Play your instrument, tap the screen, or connect MIDI — and see exactly whether you’re early, late, or right on the beat. All core features are free, including scoring, adaptive tempo, MIDI input, challenges, Band Sync, and session summaries. An optional one-time purchase unlocks the practice calendar with iCloud sync so you can track your progress over time. REAL-TIME TIMING FEEDBACK See your notes in six live visualizations: Note Highway, Playhead, Circular, Tube, Spiral, and Scrolling History. PLAY ANY WAY Use tap input, microphone detection with automatic gain, or MIDI with latency calibration. TRAIN SMARTER Adaptive Tempo increases BPM when accuracy improves and backs off when consistency drops. BUILD INTERNAL TIME Practice with click dropouts, backbeat-only modes, random mute cycling, subdivisions, and multiple difficulty levels. PRACTICE TOGETHER Band Sync lets groups share the same pulse, compare timing, and improve ensemble groove in real time. Groove Timing Fixes - Fixed an issue where hits weren't aligning correctly with groove patterns in compound time signatures (6/8, 9/8, 12/8) - Visualization grid lines now match exactly where your hits are scored - Improved accuracy when playing grooves with mixed note densities Other Improvements - Groove editor now displays time signature names for easier editing - Better MIDI drum pattern import from any channel - Minor UI text improvements
