About this app
Follow spoken language as it happens. Murmur turns speech into live translated captions, so you can keep up with a tour, conference talk, lecture, class, demo, or sermon in another language. Choose a source language and target language, then tap Listen. Murmur shows translated captions as speech is recognized and can play translated speech when audio output is available. Murmur supports English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Hindi, and Dutch — with right-to-left support for Arabic. START FREE, KEEP YOUR TIME Murmur creates a durable guest account with 30 translation minutes each month, so no sign-up is needed. Murmur Pro includes 3 hours each month, with monthly and annual plans. Non-expiring credit packs add time when you need it. You can link an email for recovery, restore store purchases, and delete your account in the app. Murmur does not save cloud transcript history by default. Microphone audio streams only during a live session, and you can stop or cancel at any time. BUILT FOR READABLE LIVE TRANSLATION • Live translated captions • Live captions for short exchanges and ongoing speech • Ordered translated captions as speech is recognized • Optional translated speech output • Source and target language controls • In-app reporting for translation issues Murmur needs an internet connection and a microphone — that's it. Murmur uses OpenAI Realtime for speech recognition, translation, and translated speech. Translations can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Do not rely on Murmur for emergencies, medical, legal, financial, immigration, or other high-stakes decisions without a qualified human interpreter.
