Calibrate your altitude — metres instead of tens of metres Tap the altitude and enter a value you know: a summit marker, a trail sign, your own address. Or the QNH from a weather report. From then on Now Altimeter works barometrically and shows altitude to within a few metres, instead of the 10 to 30 that plain GPS gives you. New: climb and descent rate How fast are you gaining height? Vertical speed in m/min next to the air pressure — the number ski touring, mountaineering and paragliding actually think in. You can now see how accurate the reading is Below the altitude it says where it comes from: "GPS · ±12 m" or "Barometric, calibrated". No more numbers without context. Elevation gain you can trust Ascent and descent used to come from GPS altitude and collected its noise — a tour recorded while sitting still could book thousands of metres. They now come from the pressure sensor. A short intro on first launch Three pages showing what the app does — and that your first three tours are free. Widget and Apple Watch keep up The widget now shows feet if you picked feet — it always showed metres before. And the watch shows the same altitude as your iPhone, including after calibrating.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
