About this app

PageForth is an AI news reader for Mac, in the spirit of the old NewsFire. Most reading apps make you hunt down an RSS feed first. PageForth does not. Point it at any web page (a blog, a news site, a newsletter, an author's archive) and it works out which articles are on it. It fetches each one and shows it in a clean, quiet reader. No sidebars, no popups, no cookie banners. If a site offers an RSS feed you can use that too. The feed is optional, never required. An on-device AI model writes a short summary of every article, so you can tell what is worth your time before you commit. Every summary stays attached to its source, one click from the full piece. Nothing you read leaves your Mac. WHAT YOU CAN DO Read any site. If a page links to articles, PageForth turns it into a feed. No RSS needed, though feeds work if you have them. Skim with summaries. Each article gets a short, on-device summary up top, with the source one click away. Cut the clutter. Every article is stripped to just the writing, with text size and spacing you control. See what fits you. A For You view learns from the articles you like and surfaces more like them. Keep your Macs in sync. Your sources and read state stay current across your Macs over iCloud. A real Mac app. Three panes, keyboard shortcuts, notifications, and a Dock badge for unread articles. PageForth requires macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence. It comes with a 7-day free trial, then $29.99 per year. One price, everything included. What’s New

Version 1.0.5 Jul 30, 2026

PageForth is a lot faster. Big libraries no longer stall the window while the app is saving or syncing with iCloud. The reader shows the summary now. If an article can't be summarized you'll see its text instead, and the link back to the publisher is always there. Articles older than 60 days get cleared out automatically. Anything you've hearted is kept.

Baseline captured. Growth appears after the crawler observes a changed rating count.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
