About this app

Photo Journals is a calendar for the photos already on your phone. Most photo apps want to be a social network. This one doesn't. It pulls together photos from your albums and lays them out by date, so you can scroll a month at a time and see what you've actually been doing with your life. What Photo Journals does: Calendar view — every day with a photo, every month at a glance. Browse by year — jump back to a season, a holiday, a Tuesday afternoon you forgot about. On this day — see what you took on this date, in past years. Quick share — share the photos you re-find via the standard share sheet. Photos stay where they are. Photo Journals never copies, uploads, or modifies your library. What Photo Journals does not do: No accounts. No tracking. No advertising. No subscriptions. The privacy nutrition label is "Data Not Collected" — Photo Journals does not see, store, or transmit your photos. Made by Indy.inc in the United Kingdom. Designed for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.

What’s New

Version 26.7.0 May 19, 2026

Photo Journals 26.7.0 — a deeper way to browse your photos. Smart Analysis picks the best photo for each day, with three modes (Smart Filters, Balanced, Gallery) so libraries that need a little help, get it. Filter chips find people, food, nature, animals, vehicles, text, and more — classified on your device by Apple's Vision framework. Nothing leaves your phone. Custom tags and labels for the things that matter to you. A scrubbable Timeline that spans your whole library. A Share Flow that turns any month into a beautifully styled collage — four layouts, portrait or landscape. The On This Day widget now rotates through different past years during the day. Fixes: PDF exports are crisp and complete, widget thumbnails are back, and colours are true to your originals.
