If it goes on your body and prints an ingredient list, Salima can read it and give you a verdict. NO BARCODE? SCAN THE LABEL Barcode databases are thin for cosmetics. Salima reads the printed INCI list directly with the camera, so a product in no database still gets a verdict. Cosmetics must print their full ingredient list on the pack by law. If you can see it, Salima can read it — even after the box went in the bin. HONEST ABOUT FRAGRANCE "Fragrance" and "parfum" conceal the actual ingredients, and roughly two thirds of cosmetics contain them. That's worth knowing. But it is not an established pregnancy risk, and Salima won't pretend otherwise. You get a plain transparency report rather than a scare, and it does not drag the product's verdict down. The genuine concerns are real and different: fragrance is the leading cause of cosmetic skin reactions, and strong scents commonly trigger nausea in pregnancy. We say that instead.
