The baby's activity usually peaks around 32 weeks, then decreases as the baby grows and has less room to move in the uterus. Feeling regular movements is a sign that the baby is doing well. If the mother notices a clear decrease in movements, it may be a warning sign. That is why, from 28–30 weeks until delivery, obstetricians and gynecologists often recommend tracking fetal movements as one way to monitor the baby's condition.
